CCC Staff Expertise

The Children’s Center for Communication (CCC) faculty and staff are highly skilled, certified, and caring professionals with experience in language and communication development and behavior management. Our faculty and support staff include:Staff

Certified Special Education Teachers - Special needs teachers have proficiency in communication development, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Discrete Trial Techniques (DTT). They are responsible for planning and carrying out a curriculum that focuses on the individual needs and IEP of each student and follows the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks, as appropriate for the ability level of each child.  Teachers and the child’s team adapt and develop materials to match the unique needs and communication challenges of each student to ensure their learning potential is maximized.

Paraprofessionals – Classroom Paraprofessionals are an integral part of the learning day.  Staff assist the classroom teacher with curriculum planning, instruction, communication support, 1:1 lesson delivery, and general classroom operations.  They assist in presenting and reinforcing learning concepts, while assisting with classroom and behavior management in a proactive manner.

CCC Staff Training - Ongoing professional development is an integral part of CCC’s weekly schedule for all staff.  Each Friday faculty and staff are provided professional trainings and development opportunities which ensure proficiency in communication strategies, educational needs, therapeutic areas, behavioral supports, and other school-wide requirements.  Staff also participates in off-site workshops and conferences which enhance their skills working with children with special developmental, language and communication needs.
